Yoga is an amazing practice.  It builds strength and flexibility.  It relieves stress and calms the mind.  It can be a powerful tool in recovery – helping manage or even eliminate physical pain.  Yoga is a great addition to any workout regime or as a stand alone practice.  There is yoga for every body, at every stage of life.  The practice can always meet you right where you are.  If you’re not sure, let us reassure you – yoga is for you!

We are located in lovely, old town Granada Hills.  We offer vinyasa flow yoga for everyone from beginners to advanced students, gentle yoga, restorative, therapeutics (for those recovering from injuries or with limited mobility) and kundalini.  In addition, we have specialized workshops every month including a monthly healing sound bath!  Check out the schedule page for more information and to book a class (we can always get you set up at the studio, too).  We are so thrilled to be here in Granada Hills – we’ve needed a yoga studio here for a long time and now we have one. Come on in and try a class!

  1. Hi! I have never done yoga before but I would like to try your class tomorrow. I have some back pain but mainly I am doing it to destress and relieve some anxiety. Are you Sunday class a good fit for what I’m looking for and is it cash only ? Thanks!

    • Hi Jenn, the Sunday class is great! Super fun group of people. come on in! I think you’ll find the practice to be a great way to relieve stress and find a little peace :)) And I take cash, checks and credit cards. Hope to see you tomorrow!

  2. Hi :)
I have never done yoga before, am overweight and have back problems. I would like to try yoga as I’ve heard it’s great for your mind and body.
Is there a specific class time that would be good for me considering I have zero idea what I’m doing?

    Thank you,

    • Hi Lisa,

All the classes are mixed level but I teach the Saturday class as more of a basics class. It might be challenging even so but give it a try and see how you feel! I do have beginners in all my classes. If you decide that my class seems like too much I can recommend a couple of other lovely teachers that teach softer classes than mine. But that said, come on in and give it a shot! We’ll go from there :)

      Thanks for your interest!

  3. Hi. I have never really been into yoga before, but always wanted to give it a shot. I am used to doing mostly cardio kind of exercises because I mainly look for workouts that would make me toned. How do your yoga classes work? Will they make me toned and help me tone my muscles? Will they help with my core and abs? Which classes would I take if that is what my focus is on?
    Thank You!

    • Hi Sophia,
My classes will definitely help you tone your muscles – all over but especially your abs. You can try any of the classes – they’re all mixed level flow classes. The Saturday morning class I usually teach as more of a basics class but that doesn’t mean it’s easy. That said, come on in and give it a try and see what you think!

    • Hi Joanne,
There are two dates to consider regarding the groupon. The first is the date of purchase. You have three months from the date you buy your groupon to come in to the studio and redeem it. The second is that day you come in and redeem your groupon/take your first class. You now have three months to use your five or ten classes. Again, that clock doesn’t start ticking until you come in and take your first class (i.e. redeem your groupon).
      Thanks for asking!

  4. Hello,

I wanted to inquire whether there are men typically in the class. I’d like to take your saturday morning yoga class as a beginner, but would feel much more comfortable in an all female environment.

    Thank you.

    • Hi Jane,
Saturday mornings are usually mostly women. I have one couple who usually come and sometimes one other male student. The evenings and Sundays have a lot more men. Its a pretty friendly environment just the same tho :))

  5. Hello Christine,

I suffer from Lupus and spinal stenosis, I am looking for a yoga instructor that is able to modify workouts for the spinal condition. Yoga is a good option for lupus sufferers I’m hoping you are familiar with spinal injuries. Would you be able to work with someone like me to modify a plan that can keep me in practice?

  6. Hi I’m looking for something that would help alleviate tightening of muscles, joints and other side effects due to statin Meds. Im relatively in good shape but these side effects are keeping me from enjoying my regular physical activities. Any class in particular that you would recommend for my predicament. Thanks for your input.

    • Hi Cris,
Yoga will definitely help stretch your muscles and get your joints moving. We work our range of motion in a variety of ways using the poses and testing our limits seeing if we can make a little more space each time. We do lots of stretching but also work hard too. I like to incorporate muscular strengthening with the stretch so that as we make space it’s supported with strength. Come on in and try a class – they’re all essentially the same style but we do different poses each time. I think yoga will help your situation a lot.

Let me know if you have any other questions.

  7. I am interested in taking yoga classes, but I have osteoporosis and have been told that there are many yoga poses I should avoid. Do you work with people who have osteoporosis?

    • Hi Sandra,
Yes there are poses to avoid with osteoporosis but yoga can also help a lot! I can definitely work with you :) Let me know if you have any other questions.

    • Hi Claudia,
Yes it can transfer over. Get it while you can – I’ll probably stop it in a couple weeks!

    • Hi Kathy,
Right now I don’t have any kundalini planned but there will be lots of options including a pranayama and meditation class! I’m super excited too :) I look forward to meeting you!

  8. Hello,
My wife and I are interested in taking classes. I do have some knee problems from the military. We are thinking of coming twice a week. Is there a package you could suggest for us?

    Thank you,

    • Hi Scott,
I am so sorry I didn’t get back to you sooner! The site wasn’t showing me any comments to respond to. I have lots of gentle and level one classes. Durning the day and in the evening. You could share any of the class packages with your wife (excluding the unlimiteds). They have a one year expiration, the best deal is the 25 class package for $250. If you think you may come in more than twice a week here and there, you might consider the monthly unlimited – all the yoga classes you can take in a month for $108.
Again I apologize for the delay. Let me know if you have any other questions!

    • Hi Liz,
Bring your groupon and come on in. All the classes are drop in :) once we get you all set up in the system you can sign in on line if you like.
      See you soon!

    • The sound bath is a separate workshop but it’s only $20! It’s a wonderfully relaxing and rejuvenating experience. I highly recommend it! :)

  9. Hello,
I am in my 60’s and ha e never tried yoga. My Dr. suggested I try Restorative Yoga to help me in many ways. Can you please advise as to when the best class for this meets.
    Thank you.

    • Hi Nancy,
We have a restorative class on Sundays at 6:00pm. We also have gentle and therapeutics which is also a very nice, relaxing class on weekdays 12:30-2pm. Or Liz’s class on Thursday evenings is also great, 7-8:30. I think any of those would be perfect for you. Let me know if you have other questions. You can always email me as well christine@premayogaflow.com
      Have a great day!

    • Hi Alisa,
Yes, yoga can help with sciatica. its helpful to know that’s causing the pain but the two most common causes – compression in the low back and tight glutes/hips – are improved with yoga. It can also help with range of motion in the joints.
If you haven’t done yoga before, id suggest starting with a level one or gentle class first and then go from there. Let me know if you have any other questions.

  10. Hi–

I have never taken a yoga class before and wanted to know if the Basics-Plus Smartflow class is something for a beginner. I would like to attend the class tomorrow morning. My Dr has suggested yoga to help reduce stress.

    Thank you.

    • Hi Kimberly,
It is a basics class but we do work hard – strength building, core work, stuff like that. The poses are not complicated or advanced, but expect to work hard just the same :)
      Thanks for asking!
